General:                                 The route includes quiet but wide roads through thriving fenland villages, as well as rolling Norfolk countryside and the historic Sandringham Estate.

The route passes through the centre of Kings Lynn and there are one or two short sections of busy roads that must be crossed.

Whilst the fens are well known for their flatness, if the wind is blowing they provide a stern challenge and once east of Kings Lynn, the route includes some deceptive climbs.

Route Signage:                    Major junctions will be signposted wherever possible

Details of each route can be found on www.bikely.com

Search under “Spalding Cycling Club” for the 2010 routes.

Food and Drink:                   The route includes a tea-stop at Sandringham . Please note that this stop is within the second half of each route. Riders should ensure that they take sufficient food and drink to complete the route.

The Nelson Route passes through Burnham Market. As the purpose of the event is to have fun, riders are free to stop along the route for refreshements.

Course Sweeper:                 We cannot guarantee that we will have the benefit of a broom wagon. Please ensure you carry spare tubes and a pump etc.

If you do have a major mechanical problem please ring the organisers.
